Analysis of a News Report - Section A revision

I have provided a clip for you to analyse from BBC News' coverage of the Manchester bombing. When analysing it, think about things like;

• The ident - how is this used to identify the broadcaster? What effect does it have?

• The anchor(s) - costume codes, mode of address, representation

• Vox Pop- An interview with members of the public; what effect does this have? Why is it used?

• The aston (on screen caption) - what does this tell the audience?

• The editing and clips used

• The sound

• The camera work

Don't forget to use the correct terminology when analysing.
